The virus. Will i die?

This... Shwine virus....sure is getting on my nerves.

I've never been the paranoid type. Im never scared to walk alone on the streets at night. I might be a bit naive when i talk to strangers...
But this...Pandemic, that it might develop into is freaking me out!!

What the hell. You just can't watch all these conspiracy movies and not get freaked. And lately, thats what me and hubby has been doing. Lets just say we are very open-minded and like to know whats going on around here. And the media is owned by the most powerful rich people in the world. So i dont trust them. Watch You Tube instead. I tell ya. You get closer to the truth. Or at least, you'll get more information that matters. (you'll be surprised about what big news they dont actually say in TVs news. Instead they talk about Britney Spears and how f*cked up she is (was).
Thats more important of course. Keep humans stupid and ignorant and its easier to control them)

Anyhow.
All of a sudden i find myself washing my hands often. Hardly dont breathe around other people. Use my jacket sleeve when i open doors. And spray my hands with my hand sanitizer thats in my purse. ( I use that ever since David told me how few guys wash their hands after they been to the bathroom and touched their....thing...euh...guys are disgusting!!)

Hell, today i didnt even want to go to school. I especially feared that crowded bus i need to take to school.
Well, i decided to get over my fear and take the bus. A woman sneezed next to me. And i catch myself looking at her with big freaked eyes, like she, well, would have a deadly virus.

Once on the bus. People were more silent. Didnt stand too close to eachother. Nobody talked in fact and hell, that bus is usually LOUD.
One person coughed. Everyone turned their head. I knew what they were thinking. Cause i was thinking the same.

Damn.

Can this be over now? I hate not enjoying life and walking around scared and alert like im gonna die because its.... exhausting.

Dangerous pelicans?

I'm sorry, but i just have to post this conversation between me and my mama last fall.
We were talking about Mexico. And i was saying that there was pelicans there. My mom was talking about Mosquitos. And somehow, again, it all got mixed up and mama thinks that there are dangerous pelicans that eats humans. Maybe its just me, but im laughing my ass off everytime i read these conversations.

My life in Sweden.

ok, i know, i was depressed in my last posting. Downright sad!!
But, again, i chose this path, and i dont regret it a second. I have to keep telling myself that.
Its hard, unbelievably hard sometimes. But this time...last weekend, was the hardest.
My body was really aching. Crying. I just wanted Helenis and Sweden.

Sometimes i look at houses for sale in Sweden. Stockholm area....but on the westcoast too. Hell, even Kode haha.
I look at the houses, dream away for some minutes. What my life would look like.
A red house with white edges. A big garden with apple trees. A Golden retriever running around, playing with our 3 kids. Im inside, cooking. Then David drives up the alley, he's coming home from work. I made a rhubarbpie. The whole family is watching Idol.

I picture myself having my friends over for game-nights, wine and cheese. Just good ol' girl nights. Talking the night away.
I picture our kids growing up together. Vindaloo-heirs :-)
I picture us going to Timmervik, or Rortangen, for some good BBQ with all my friends.
I picture myself strolling around with my baby in the stroller with my mama and momo.

But then...in the middle of all this utopia. I wake up. I dont like the swedish people. They're too cold. Too unpolite. Girls talk too much shit, and the guys are way to snobby. Bragging.
The drunk teens girls with white hair and no eyebrows, and the boys with their mopeds, caps and pimples.
You go to the store, and the cashiers dont talk to you. You have too much to carry but nobody offers their help. Its cold. Grey. Rainy. People are busy.

Where am i working? I dont have an education,and without education in Sweden, you practicly get nowhere. I cant be a wedding photographer in Sweden. There is no market for it right now.
Where is David working? There is only one good company for him, and its in Stockholm. A videogame company. Would he have to be stuck there for the rest of his life? No animation feature that he dreams of?

The vacation comes. It rains away. The winter comes, it rains away too. U want snow? Take vacation and go up north. Snow is a memory long gone where i come from...

Yes. It is darn lonely here. I look at my friend wall. At all the memories me and my girls have. It makes me warm. I miss them. I miss my mama. And i miss momo.

But i cant live in Sweden now. The Picturesque future im seeing there, lies far away.
One day when im tired of this sun. One day when we do get kids. One day when I'm a good photographer, and can build a career in Sweden. Then i'll come.

Until then... My heart will just have to ache a bit for my loved ones.

you've gotta choose one way. My way led me here. And this is where i belong. For now.

(PS1: I hope nobody gets offended when i write this about Sweden. Im just trying to make myself feel better. And in no way, im looking down on somebodys life! And Its not like i dont like ANY swedish people... just, some. )

It really does... it burns behind my eyes, and i have a knot in my throat. I just wanna go home and be with my friends right now. All the things im missing...Its painful. Really PAINFUL!!

Stinky pad Thai

What the hell just happened?
i just made the worst dinner in my entire life.
It was so bad, we actually couldnt eat it.
We had to throw the god damn food. Thats just crazy! i mean, i eat most things! But Johannas Pad Thai, dude, stay away from that!
the funny thing is, i felt really bad. Like, what kind of wife am i? Cant even cook for my husband.
Hope he won't divorce me for this.


Now we're waiting for pizza.

47 mins of waist

Today Julianne Moore, (the actress from Boogie nights, jurassic park etc) was supposed to be in a bookstore in my neighboorhood talking about her new children book.
I walked over there, sneeking around. i didnt want to show that i just came there to see her.
I read magazines, looked at books, waited.

Loooked at the time. 7.06 pm. Was she late? Thats not very nice, making people wait 40 minutes.
i was just about to go up and ask a staffmember when she was coming, when David came in the store.

"she never came" i said, sadly. We looked at the poster again, and realised i was a month early. May. She will come in May.

Thats just stupid. I just waisted about 47 minutes of my life.
I mean, im not even a fan!

Los Angeles

So, we've been to L.A
i know, some people hate L.A. its too big. Too fake. Too dirty. too ugly.
But i like it. Something draws me there. It has charm. And its legendary!
Besides. Me and David have a history there. We spent our first weekend there, and thats where he proposed. So L.A will always have a special place in my heart.

Saturday. With happy faces and excitement, we started to drive down Highway one. Its so beautiful!


Had some disgusting sandwiches for lunch....


And did another stop in San Luis Obispo, where they had a gum alley. Walls filled with gum! kinda cool!


Then we came to the danish village "solvang". It was nice, it really felt like denmark. (If you take away all the huge cars) David thought it was too touristy, he felt like he was in disneyland, in a bad way haha. Everything was also ridiculously expensive. The food we had at a danish resto sucked. Definatly not worth the money!!
In the morning we did like the hobbits, had 2 breakfastas. We got a coffe and a danish pastry for free from the motel, but we were still hungry, so we went to anohter place too!



Sunday after we left Solvang we passed by Michael Jacksons neverland ranch!
Later that day we arrived in Los angeles. We went to eat at the CPK where we ate that night David proposed, but they closed that location!! Sad.... But instead we went to the CPK in Hollywood blvd!

Monday.
After a longed for breakfast at Mel's diner (yum!) we went to Charlie chaplins old studios. It was incredible feeling. Thats practicly where Hollywood started! Now its bought by Jim Henson (the muppets, thats why there's a kermit the frog on top haha)

The we went to Studio city to go to the Warner bros tour. Man, that was totall worth the money!
We were 8 in each little golfcart, had a personal guide, and we even got to step out of the cart and walk around the set.
Warner Bros is the distributor of FRIENDS!! So we got all the inside info where they filmed this scene and that scene... Soooo cool!!

This is "central park" where Rachel and Phoebe are out jogging and Phoebe runs like a chicken!!

So. Draged myself to the gym today again for the first time in a long time. Bored as hell. Tired. Lazy.... yeah u get it.
Anyway, all my gym tshirts are in the laundry, so i took my swedish tshirt which says "Made in sweden".
When i put on my favourite channel to work out to, "E", (because they always show celebrities which has perfect bodies and that makes me motivated haha) What show are they showing? If not "victoria Silvstedt- The perfect life" reality show.

What, they show that here now too?
I was watching it, and found it interesting. I dont know anything about my dear relatives exlusive life. Now i do. And man am i jealous haha :-) No. Not really. But its so incredibly different from the rest of us poor relatives life haha. I wouldnt mind to have money. But to swap lifes. Naah.
I got happy when i saw it to be honest. I like her. Sure, she's acting a lot. She plays on her image. But she is very intelligent and cute! I like the way she is! A little flimsy!

Anyway, then i got kinda embarrased, i saw other peeople watching it too, and i had my "sweden" shirt. I dont know, it just felt silly. Like "yeeeey....go Sweden....we have the blondest sexiest girls".

Haha..i remember those good ol' days in school when i was called Silvstedt. Well, it is prettier than Claesson at least :-D
