Little Mercy

...is the name on my sponsored child.
She who lives in a 1 room shack in the Philippines and sleeps on concrete floor with her 2 siblings and parents.

I sent a package to her a month ago, with a dress, crayons, a san francisco frame, a san francisco postcard, a photo of us, and of course the letter.
Yesterday i called to see if they had any info if she recieved it, but the woman said, that it can take up to 3 months.
But when she get it, they will photograph her when she opens it, and send me the photos.
Ohhh, that will be so nice!! To see her reaction!

So the 20 bucks i pay every month for her, goes to the practical stuff. Like her healthcare, clean water, and school.
Then by Christmas, and birthdays, you can send extra money, that will go directly to her.
They sent me a letter with what they got for her.

For her birthday i january, they got her a white shirt, joggingpants, and underwear.
and for christmas She got grocery items, and the rare treat of choosing something from a retail store in a shopping mall.

this makes me so happy! It just makes me feel so good. This little poor girl, actually gets a little bit more of joy, because of me!!
This is probably how she lives.

I would love to go back to the philippines.
It was an amzing country, and the people there are just...something special.
They are truly happy, joyful, and always happy and smiling. LOVE kareoke.

Even the poor relatives of Rosemarie, who were living in shacks like these. With no floor- the floor was actually dirt, sand.
But they were so welcoming and invited us to eat there.
They always have food to share.
That makes me happy. That they are still enjoying life here. Still so full of life.

Quezon city, where Mercy lives

It makes me sad though, to see these famous people, or just rich people, wall steet business men. What are they doing with all their millions? And billions of money.
What the HECK are they doing, besides spending a ridiculous amount of money on a bottle of wine, 10 ferrarri cars, handbags for 50.000 dollars, diamond massages....
Heck, if you have the money to spend $500 on a purse, you can afford to sponsor a child, or do some kind of charity work.

One of these "luxuary treatments" tha i think is worst, is the Evian water bath.
For $5000, around 40.000 SKR, you take a bath in a bathtub filled with 1000 bottles of Evian water.
Yay. Isnt that great.

people are stupid. Honestly.

Around the world, people are dont have any fucking water to drink!!!
little children, tiny as skelettons, with big baloon tummys, are fucking dying on the deserts of Africa. because they dont have any water.
And here they are. The worlds biggiest idiots. Spending $5000 dollars on a freaking evian bath.
How can the LIVE with themselves?!? How can they??? They should just be ashamed!!

I spend no more than $25 bucks on a purse, and I CAN afford to help others.
I usually shop when its a sale, and goes to the cheepest store to buy my clothes. I and can still afford to help others.
I never buy shoes for more than $80, and i can still afford to help others.
Things are always tight in our budget. Just because of my situation in this country. But we STILL can afford, to help others.

Everyone, can do something.

And if these people, WASTING their money on Evian baths and other ridiculous luxuary stuff, if they Stopped and thought for a second. Those 1000 waterbottles could have saved the day for 1000 children.

Money, is power. And these people has the power to change the world.

Kisses::: Charity jo
